Abstract Scope |
While hybrid perovskites solar cells feature very high photovoltaic power conversion efficiency now exceeding 25%, there are a few critical issues that must be addressed for their practical application, including the device stability. In this talk, I will showcase our recent efforts on utilizing 2D MoS2 as additives for hybrid perovskite solar cells. Distinguished from our recent report on 2D boron nitride additives that enhance the crystallization kinetics in perovskite thin film via improved thermal conduction [Yin et al., Small, 2207092 (2023)], 2D MoS2 is found to template the perovskite crystal growth, thus improving crystallinity and associated optical and photovoltaic performances. We demonstrate power conversion efficiency exceeding 22% based on 2D MoS2 doped formamidinium lead iodide (FAPI) perovskite solar cells and over 90% retention of the efficiency even after 1600 hr ambient exposure. |
