Abstract Scope |
In this presentation, I will introduce our recent studies on the nanoscale engineering for different types of solar cells to manage incident light and enhance their photon-electron conversion efficiency. The 1st part of the presentation will focus on how to enhance the light absorption of PbS quantum dot solar cells by combining a Fabry-Perot (FP) resonance and a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR). The FP resonance enhances light absorption near the resonant wavelength without changing the CQD film thickness. In the 2nd part, our new textured anti-reflective coating (ARC) polymeric film will be reported. The multiple scattering effect of SiO2 nanoparticles and the down-conversion effect of large phosphor particles improve the light absorption of the perovskite/Si tandem solar cell from UV to IR regime, leading to higher power conversion efficiency of the tandem cells. |
