Abstract Scope |
Soft magnetoactive materials that provide a precise way to control of specific responses, such as mechanical and electrical, upon magnetic stimulation, are attracting increasing interest due to suitable active response. Design magnetoactive composites with complex geometries, and the control of the anisotropy of the magnetic particles is a powerful form to control their functionality and applications. In this scope, direct ink writing (DIW) technique presents unique properties to engineer magnetoactive structures, where it´s required on appropriate selection of composition inks, rheology ink, and printing parameters. Exploring these parameters as well as the effect of externally applied magnetic field is essential to obtain a fully magnetoactive response. Here, we show the development by DIW of different patterned magnetoactive materials, based on magnetorheological and piezoresistive materials. Our approach examines the effect of applied magnetic field in the magnetic anisotropic properties of the samples, and the use of soft and/or hard particulate fillers. |
