Abstract Scope |
Tensile tests have been performed on an AA6061 Al alloy to investigate the anisotropic behavior of such alloy. Using Digital image correlation measurements, the evolutions in the plane of the sheet of the yield stresses, the Lankford’s coefficients, and localization band’s orientation are characterized. Results show that the minimum r-value is obtained for an orientation at 30° from the rolling direction, while the maximum r-value is obtained for the transverse direction. The mechanical behavior of this alloy is modeled using the classical Hill’s criterion and the Cazacu (2018) criterion. For both yield criteria, the anisotropy coefficients can be obtained using analytical formulas in terms of only flow stresses, or alternatively in terms of only Lankford coefficients. In this paper, the predictive capabilities of Hill and Cazacu (2018) yield criteria calibrated using different analytical procedures are discussed. Moreover, simulation prediction according to both yield criteria for forming application are presented. |
