Abstract Scope |
With the increase of the proportion of pellets in blast furnace, it is necessary to increase the basicity of pellets in order to maintain the acid-base balance of burden. In this paper, the effect of two kinds of fluxes as limestone and hydrated lime on pelletizing, roasting and pellet quality were studied. The test results show that hydrated lime is beneficial to improve the pelletizing and green pellet quality, which is useful to decrease the bentonite ratio and pellet SiO2 content. The proportion of bentonite can be reduced to 0.2% while using hrydrated lime and SiO2 content of pellet can be decreased to 2.0%. The decomposition heat consumption of hydrated lime is lower than limestone, which has less effect on pellet compressive strength under same roasting temperature. |
