Abstract Scope |
Port dredging is an extremely necessary activity, and it has the problem of disposal of the dredged material, which, even if disposed of correctly, tends to affect the surrounding environment, not to mention the logistics and disposal costs. Thus, the present work aims to reduce the extraction of raw materials and reuse the dredged sludge, incorporating the residue in the mortar as a partial substitute for the lime binder. The substitutions occurred in the percentages of 0, 10, 20 and 30%, by mass. The consistency of the mortar is determined using the flow table, and checked using the dropping ball test. Then the squeeze flow test was performed to determine the rheological characteristics of the mortar. The results were satisfactory, since the binder lime and the dredged sludge have similar granulometry, indicating adequate rheological properties of the material. |
