Abstract Scope |
This research investigated a natural fabric from the Amazon rainforect, the Yanchama, a naturally grown fabric obtained from the bark of the tree from Colombia. The fabric structure was analyzed and tested in different directions under several dynamic conditions. Tensile tests at different strain ratesm scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, x-ray diffraction, and other tests were conducted to understand the fabric microstructure and properties. This material could inspire a new generation of green solutions and be a source of education upon ancestral sustainability practices carried out by indigenous people. |
