Abstract Scope |
The behavior of melt in coke bed has great influence on blast furnace ironmaking. The factors affecting the flow of slag iron in coke bed were determined by simulation. Within the range of droplet diameter less than 12mm, the smaller the droplet, the less likely it is to drop. The higher the viscosity and surface tension of slag is, the less likely the molten slag is to flow downward. During the downward flow process, the contact angle of the slag will change. Simulation results show that droplets with large contact angles are more likely to drop. The flow rate of gas also has great influence on the flow state of slag and liquid iron. When gas flow rate is 1.0m/s, slag droplet will flow along a side of coke. When the gas flow rate is 2.5m/s, the droplet cannot drop downward. |
