Abstract Scope |
Microwave-assisted pyrometallurgy has many distinguished advantages over traditional pyrometallurgical processes. In the past five years, the researchers at Central South University (CSU) has been focusing on the use of microwave energy for intensifying various pyrometallurgical processes for higher processing efficiency, enhanced metal recovery, lower energy consumption, and better environmental benefits. This study reviewed the efforts of the researchers at CSU in microwave-assisted pyrometallurgy for treatment of wastes, with an aim to offer a useful guide for improving the technology. |
