Abstract Scope |
The corrosion issues in the industrial piping is a big problem in centuries; usually in the industry these piping are located in danger zone, where it is not allowable repairs using any heating sources. Recently the uses of cold repair by composites materials is increasing. Usually modified epoxy resin with high viscosity is used reinforced by fiberglass fabric. In this work, a commom epoxy resin with recycled glass powder from disposed bottles was caracterized thermally by dilatometry testing and mecanically compressive testing, to be a alternative for expensive modified epoxy resin. The results shows that addition increase the transition glass temperature and also the compressive strength, comparing to a commom resin epoxy. In this study, was possibel to recycle a glass bottle e save money, around 70%, in cold repair for industrial piping. |
