Abstract Scope |
We have been exploring the applications of several perovskites for variety of applications especially for dielectric energy storage. CaCu3Ti4O12 class of materials have been explored extensively. However, resistivity is very low. Because of this reason, we have substituted Ca with mono valent and trivalent ions. We will report the results of effect of mono and trivalent substitution to replace calcium. Ions. The size of ion and the valency has significant effect on both dielectric constant and resistivity. Results show that in spite of distorted structure compound Na2Cu3Ti4O12+ and Al2/3Cu3Ti4O12+ showed higher resistivity than well studied material CaCu3Ti4O12. We used identical processing parameters, and used nitrates, carbonates and titanium oxide as parent components and used direct synthesis by sintering and grain growth. |
