Abstract Scope |
In our previous study, additively manufacturing graded composite transition joint (AM-GCTJ) of P91&304 has been developed to overcome the premature failure of dissimilar metal weld P91/304. Herein, characterization of this novel transition joint has been done to provide suggestion for optimizing the design and heat treatment. In this work, the diffusion mechanism, and nanomechanics in this interface diffusion zone (IDZ) has been analyzed with the aid of thermo-calculation, electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), electron microprobe analysis (EPMA), and nanoindentation . |
