Abstract Scope |
Stress-induced martensite is a crucial phase transformation mechanism in metastable titanium alloys. In this study, we used a semi in-situ deformation apparatus to observe variant selection under different stress states. We analyzed the deformation mechanisms through EBSD crystal orientation data, focusing on the selective activation of variants based on stress direction. Additionally, we applied the classic PTMC theory to explain the deformation mechanisms and used high-resolution TEM imaging to describe the relationship between parent and martensitic phases in detail. |
