Abstract Scope |
Gas burners play a crucial role in industrial furnace operations. But their efficiency levels falls often from 20% to 60%. With global industrial burner gas consumption at approximately 200 billion Nm3 per year, corresponding to 200 million metric tons of CO2 emissions, addressing inefficiencies becomes imperative. Novamet introduces SmartBurner, an online monitoring system that detects abnormalities and drifts in gas burners during operation. By combining a fast digital-twin of the burner with artificial intelligence, SmartBurner enables real-time assessment of burner efficiency and detected drifts. The system provides user-friendly interfaces or daily printed reports to relay abnormalities and drifts to operational and maintenance managers. With SmartBurner, facilities can enhance burner efficiency by up to 10%, reducing gas consumption, CO2 emissions, and productivity losses. This innovative tool empowers technicians, process engineers, and plant managers to optimize performance, improve sustainability, and achieve more efficient industrial operations. |
