Abstract Scope |
Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) exhibit high selectivity and adsorption capacity for CO2 capture. This mini-review examines the synthesis, structural properties, and functional modifications of ZIFs to enhance CO2 capture performance. The mechanisms by which ZIFs selectively adsorb CO2 and their potential applications in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from industrial processes are discussed. Challenges related to material stability, regeneration, and scalability are addressed, along with future directions for research and development in ZIF-based CO2 capture technologies. The review highlights the potential of ZIFs to contribute to environmental sustainability and climate |
