Abstract Scope |
Ferritic/martensitic ODS (Oxide Dispersion Strengthened) steels are being considered as cladding materials for GEN-IV reactors or structural materials for fusion reactors. The interest of these materials lies in the high density of nanometric oxides present in the material.
The aim of this presentation is to show the limits of Laser Additive Manufacturing techniques compared with the cold spray technique. Cold Spray enables a high density of nano-oxides to be obtained in a ferritic Fe-14Cr ODS. After cold spray deposition of ODS powders and a cycle of Hot Isostatic Pressing, the tensile and impact properties are particularly interesting. This behavior is discussed in relation to the final microstructure obtained. |
