Abstract Scope |
The dynamic behaviors characteristics of the molten pool are kept variation and highly related to the weld formation significantly during the hig speed laser welding. The welding defects including the humping, undercut and pore induced by the instable molten pool behaviors are growingly becoming serious. A 3D numerical model is proposed to analyze the dynamic behaviors of molten pool formed in high speed laser welding. The evolution process of the molten pool of the laser welding is obtained in details with the increase of welding speed. The frequency and amplitude of the oscillating molten pool with the welding speed increase are discussed. The factors which have great influence on the variation of dynamic behaviors of molten pool are analyzed by the numerical calculation. The variation mechanism of the molten pool dynamic behaviors in the high speed laser welding speed is revealed by numerical simulation. The calculated results are validated by the experimental and literature results and they are kept in good agreement. The results show that the proposed model can be used to provide the new process method for improving the dynamic behaviors of molten pool and achieve the formation of excellent weld with high quality in the high speed laser welding. |
