| Abstract Scope |
Metal additive manufacturing is slowly being adopted by manufacturers to enhance their product offerings. However, this is not a technology that is normally just able to be 'slotted in' to a conventional manufacturing process chain. AM is a force for change that requires careful thought about how it can be effectively implemented. This presentation will cover experiences in working with manufacturers, not only on how to implement the most suitable technology, but also on how to develop a strategy that supports further improvements, for example in quality improvement for batch production. |
