Abstract Scope |
The Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloys and MetaMagnetic Shape Memory alloys are good candidates in solid state refrigeration for developing interesting performances as multi-caloric materials. The principal result about elastocaloric and magnetocaloric parameters are presented and the correlation of these result whit the different microstructure is investigated. Starting from the most known NiMnGa alloy, we present experimental characterization of NiMnGaCu, NiMnGaCo, NiMnGaFe bulk polycrystals and sintered samples. Comparison has been carried out among elastocaloric properties of melt spun ribbons of NiFeGa, NiMnGa-based and NiMnSn-based. Finally, a perspective of magneto-mechanical coupling measurements is presented. |
