Abstract Scope |
Removal of pollutants requires cost-effective technologies, adsorption is known to be a simple and effective technique for wastewater treatment, and the success of the technique largely depends on the development of an efficient adsorbent. Herein, BaO-zeolite composite was synthesized by solvent-free ball-milling method for removal tetracycline (TC) from water. The crystalline structure of the composite was analyzed and explained by XRD. Adsorption studies were conducted to analyze the effect of different parameters on TC removal, such as adsorbent dosage, time effect and temperature. Also, kinetic data revealed that TC adsorption was well described by pseudo-second order kinetic model and maximum adsorption capacity was found 71.4 mg g-1. |
