Abstract Scope |
Recent advances in the short-range order study in multicomponent materials were driven by the urgency to understand arrangements of atoms at the nanometer scale to control various properties of different materials. Several approaches, such as computational and experimental approaches, have been pursued to observe and quantify short-range order in multicomponent materials. The recent advancements in computational, experimental, synchrotron and neutron diffraction, and microscopy work have led us to a deeper understanding of the formation of short-range order, identifying distinct features of short-range order, and the effects of short-range orders on mechanical and functional properties. |
