Abstract Scope |
The formation of stable radiation damage in crystalline solids often proceeds via complex dynamic annealing processes, involving migration and interaction of ballistically-generated point defects. Here, I will review our recent studies of damage buildup and defect interaction dynamics in several non-metals, including Si, Ge, SiC, GaAs, and BN. This work was performed under the auspices of the US DOE by LLNL under contract DE-AC52-07NA27344. |
