Abstract Scope |
Hydrogels are well-known stimuli-responsive materials that have applications in sensors, actuators, and drug delivery devices, among others. In this project, we explore 3D printing hydrogel materials that are used in drug delivery and how the material response to chemical analytes affects the drug release kinetics. We have explored the printing of microfluidic devices and have monitored the change in aperture diameter through the shrinking and swelling action. The goal of this project is to release a concentration of drug that is proportional to the concentration of analyte detected. |
