Abstract Scope |
A set of novel Fe-Ni-Co-based alloys are designed for high-temperature applications. Room temperature yield strength of up to 1050MPa, with a tensile strength of 1630MPa are achieved while maintaining 38% total elongation. ECCI and TEM techniques are used to investigate the mechanical behavior of the designed alloys and identify the microstructural origins of different strain hardening regimes. A new composition is designed based on these investigations that reveal yield strengths of 1055MPa, tensile strengths of 1675MPa and achieving 53% total elongation at room temperature. |
