Abstract Scope |
This study utilized vertical twin-roller thin strip technology to produce high-purity nickel strips and examined the effects of various heat treatment processes on their solidification structure and mechanical properties. Additionally, we compared and analyzed the differences between high-purity nickel strips produced using this ultra-short process technology and those made by traditional die-casting methods. This comparison offers a theoretical reference for the ultra-short process preparation of high-purity nickel strips. Our findings reveal that hot rolling refines the grain size of traditionally die-cast products, and this refined grain size is retained in the final rolled strip. In contrast, the ultra-short process for producing nickel strips eliminates the need for hot rolling. Instead, it requires only minimal cold rolling to achieve mechanical properties that are comparable to those of traditionally produced strips. |
