Abstract Scope |
Electrochemical deposition utilizing Anodized Aluminium Oxide (AAO) templates yielded Cobalt Nanowires (CoNW), subsequently integrated with carbon nanotubes (CNT) into a nanocomposite film for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding analysis. Our study delves into the shielding and magnetic characteristics of CoNW/CNT nanocomposites, emphasizing the necessity of tailored design for specific applications. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) elucidated underlying mechanisms. Magnetic alignment of CoNW in CoNW/CNT buckypaper significantly enhanced EMI shielding efficiency (SE), reaching 66.2 dB, a 49.59% increase within the same frequency range. Further enhancement to 73.6 dB, a threefold rise over standard CNT buckypaper, was achieved through magnetic alignment using a horseshoe magnet. This research underscores the synergy of theoretical and empirical methodologies in maximizing the efficacy of nanomaterials for EMI shielding. |
