Abstract Scope The automotive industry is in the midst of a revolution to electric propulsion and automated driving. While many challenges remain to complete the transformation, providing an outstanding customer experience while driving or riding is a priority. Key aspects of this experience will depend on vehicle connectivity, comfort, and information display. This talk will describe a vision for this experience and explore the material challenges in sensors, optics, and surfaces that must be overcome to enhance customer experience.
