| Abstract Scope |
This talk will focus on H effects in α+β titanium alloys. To better understand hydride nucleation and growth, we investigated the ingress and permeation of hydrogen through representative microstructures. Using a combination of in situ SEM and in situ synchrotron XRD approaches, factors including local structure, crystallographic orientation and β percolation are studied to understand hydrogen transport and subsequent hydride formation at specific locations in the microstructure. |
