Abstract Scope |
Ferroelectrics have been extensively studied because of their interesting physical properties. Between them, lead titanate (PbTiO3) system stands out because it shows high spontaneous polarization and dielectric permittivity, relatively low dielectric losses and enhanced electromechanical coefficient, which make it a promising material for several applications. Different synthesis techniques have been used for obtaining high quality PbTiO3 thin films with new and relevant material’s properties whose origins remain still unclear. The aim of the present work is to explore the synthesis conditions and their influences on the physical properties of PbTiO3 thin films, obtained from the polymeric precursors’ method. In particular, the influence of the pyrolysis temperature, ranging from 250 oC to 450 oC, on the structural and microstructural characteristics have been investigated.
