Abstract Scope |
Bioelectronic medicine based on implantable and wearable devices can revolutionize how we manage diseases and dramatically improve healthcare outcomes. However, existing medical devices still largely rely on bulky and rigid electronic components, which often lead to severe foreign body responses, tissue damage, and device malfunctions in the soft and dynamic tissue environment. These interfacial failures have been the bottleneck of bioelectronic systems that prevent their further applications in new scenarios. In this talk, I will present our efforts on the exploration of rational design principles and engineering strategies to enable chronically stable-bioelectronic, high-precision applications through fundamental material and device innovations. |
