Abstract Scope |
Increasing demands on productivity, sustainability, and reliability in manufacturing and processing supply chains for e.g., automotive and aerospace industries in Europe is increasing the demand on new or improved materials solutions. Legacy trial-and-error is too costly and time-consuming to keep up with these demands, so there is a growing interest in utilizing modelling and simulation to speed up the process. Although many industries have some in house modelling or simulation capabilities, direct access to, or efficient usage of, ICME tools and software is still limited. In this presentation, we are showcasing how QuesTek supports and spearheads the industrial utilization of ICME in Europe. Examples ranging composition optimization of legacy steel grades for high-temperature loadbearing applications, to the introduction of novel materials and process combinations to replace conventional material solutions, will be covered. |
