Abstract Scope |
Multi-Principal Element Alloys (MPEAs) remain a topic of much focus and interest. With the potential to exceed previously established limits in mechanical, thermal, electronic, magnetic and a host of other properties, MPEAs present a revolution and fundamental shift in the modern framework of alloy design. Since 2013, high entropy alloys (HEAs), complex concentrated alloys (CCAs) and MPEAs have continued to receive increasing attention and investment throughout NSF. In this talk, a few examples of recent and/or current NSF-funded projects will be shared and a variety of programmatic updates relative to engaging NSF and the NSF Division of Materials Research, in particular, will be provided. |
