Abstract Scope |
In this presentation, sheet formability of CoCrFeMnNi HEA and Fe60(CoNi)30Cr10 MEA are reported, compared to conventional 304 stainless steel and TWIP steel. The HER value of the CoCrFeMnNi HEA was much
higher than those of 304 SS and TWIP steels. The microstructural analyses revealed that the superior stretch-flangeability of the CoCrFeMnNi HEA was attributed to its low probability of crack initiation compared to the other alloys. Through the current study, it was demonstrated that the phase interfaces generated by TRIP promoted crack propagation and deteriorated the HER. As a key method to improve the stretch-flangeability of TRIP materials, we propose engineering phase stability to reduce the phase interface at the edge region. |
