Phase equilibrium plays a crucial role in understanding interfacial reaction. In this study, we have constructed the isothermal section of the Cu-Sn-Ti ternary system using X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and scanning electron microscope with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) at 450 ℃. Combining with binary phase diagram, the experimental results indicate the presence of 12 binary compounds and 2 ternary compounds CuSnTi (τ1) and CuSn3Ti5 (τ2). For Sn-Ti binary compounds Sn3Ti2, Ti3Sn and Sn5Ti6 exhibit significant solubility of Cu, approximately 2 at.%, 3 at.% and 8 at.%, respectively. The ternary IMC CuSn3Ti5 shows a slight compositional range, while other compounds demonstrate negligible solubility (<1at.%). |
