Abstract Scope |
Mechanical properties of Nickel-base superalloy investment castings are affected by casting defects (freckles, re-crystallizations or shrinkages) and grain structures. Casting defects and grain structures are predicted by heat transfer solidification simulation and Cellular Automaton Finite Element (CAFE) method, respectively. Prediction results are reflected in casting shapes and casting conditions for directional solidified (DS) parts and conventional casting (CC) parts.
Parts of these results have obtained from a project subsidized by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) (JPNP16002). |
