Abstract Scope |
Bragg coherent diffraction imaging (BCDI) is a lensless x-ray imaging technique that can provide 3D strain information about crystalline materials. The current resolution using BCDI is on the order of a few nanometers. However, ongoing upgrades to synchrotrons will allow for an increase in available coherent x-ray flux by a factor of several hundred increasing resolution down to the atomic scale. We propose a BCDI method that combines atomic modeling with statistical techniques to reconstruct small samples at the atomic scale. We show, in simulation, that this method accurately reconstructs several samples with atom positions errors of less than one angstrom. |
