| Abstract Scope |
Low temperature organic eutectic melts provide an excellent medium for reactive method to produce variety of materials which require growth at very high temperatures. Most of the perovskites have been synthesized for dielectric capacitors. The aim of the present study is to determine synthesis and effect of carbon impurities on the pure and doped Ca2/3Cu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) by microwave reaction followed by freezing the mixture in the melt of organic eutectic. In addition to CCTO we will present recent results of Pr2/3Cu3Ti4O12 (PCTO) materials system also. The stoichiometric powder was mixed, soaked in the naphthalene-camphor eutectic melt and oriented by the directional solidification method. This material has distinctive characteristics than sintered CCTO material. We had observed that dielectric constant, resistivity grain sizes, boundaries were significantly compared to published elevated temperature sintered materials. |
