Abstract Scope |
In phase diagrams, the concentration of components is represented using a barycentric coordinate system, where the concentrations are normalized. For example, the molar or weight fractions are normalized to one. The Gibbs triangle is a specific example of a barycentric coordinate system. This presentation will explore the relationship and differences between barycentric and Cartesian coordinate systems. Understanding these differences will enhance our comprehension of the thermodynamics of phase diagrams and aid in designing better calculation codes. |
