Abstract Scope |
Corrosion is a critical problem in industrial environments, resulting in structural and financial damage, especially in sectors such as oil & gas platforms. To mitigate this damage, the application of polymeric coatings in piping and structural parts, is a common solution. Epoxy resin is often used, such as resistance to corrosive media, low cost and satisfactory strength. The aim of this work is to use particulates from eucalyptus waste as a dispersed phase in epoxy resin, with the aim of developing a cheaper and more environmentally friendly material. |
