Abstract Scope |
The study aimed to analyze the stress on the lumbar spine of implant patients in different sitting postures. Three dynamic movements were simulated, and the results showed that stress on the vertebral body was minimal when sitting upright or standing. However, stress increased when sitting on a floor or slumped in a chair. Therefore, maintaining an upright posture while sitting for extended periods is crucial to reduce pressure on the lumbar spine. Incorrect posture can lead to lumbar vertebrae and disc stress, causing discomfort and pain. This study's findings emphasize the importance of practicing proper posture while sitting, which can improve spinal health and reduce the risk of developing long-term back issues. By following proper posture guidelines, individuals can minimize the negative effects of prolonged sitting on the lumbar spine and maintain optimal spinal health. |
