Abstract Scope |
In this study, the molten salt method was used to separate iron, titanium and vanadium from vanadium titanium-magnetite concentrate in one step. Based on the characterization results of vanadium titanium-magnetite concentrate raw materials, thermodynamic calculation of the reactants in the system was carried out using HSC and Factsage thermodynamic calculation software. The results show that Fe components in FeTiO3 and Fe2TiO5 are chemically dissolved into molten salt, and Ti components are enriched in the anode slime. In the electrolysis process, the V component of FeV2O4 in the anode raw material is electrochemically dissolved, and enters the molten salt in the form of VO3-, followed by the Fe component of Fe3O4, FeTiO3, FeV2O4 into the molten salt. According to the difference of reduction potential of iron ion and vanadate ion in molten salt, Fe component can be selectively reduced in cathode. |
