Abstract Scope |
To maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of regular maintenances, it is crucial to predict the lifetime of critical components in coal-fired power plant by understanding the corrosion behavior of alloys in coal ash with varying thickness due to the continuous deposition. Herein, the hot corrosion behavior of TP347H, widely adopted as the superheater, in coal ash of various thickness has been investigated in lab with the aid of electrochemical techniques including open circuit potential (OCP), electrochemical noise(EN), and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP). The corrosion behavior (rate, corrosion type) and mechanism (rate-determining step, corrosion reactions) are investigated in detail. |
