Abstract Scope |
In the process of machining 1215MS free-cutting silver bright rod into parts produced by a steel factory, some products in the core of the parts were found to crack after drilling. By using scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectrometer and the calculation method of micro-segregation diffusion growth model developed by the research group, the cause of drilling crack was found, pearlite segregation existed in silver bright rod, and the high hardness segregation belt caused uneven force on the drill bit during drilling, resulting in material cracking. The segregation can be reduced by optimizing the production process. |
