Abstract Scope |
Within the domain of materials science and engineering, excellent progress has been made with the interoperability of computational data as well as composability and reproducibility of computational tools. Unfortunately, the connectivity of experimental equipment and the interoperability of data originating from experimental synthesis and characterization continues to lag behind computational counterparts. In this talk, we will discuss why this is the case, summarizing challenges and opportunities identified within a recent industry-focused workshop. NIST efforts to address the unique challenges faced within experimental materials science and engineering community will also be presented. |
