Isothermal compression with a strain of 0.9 were conducted on dual-phase Mg-Li-Zn-Sr-Ca alloy by under different temperatures and strain rates . The deformation behavior, microstructure evolution, recrystallization and phase transformation under different deformation parameters were investigated. As the temperature is higher than 523 K, needle-shaped phases precipitated from the β-Li phase, which was confirmed to be α-Mg phase during subsequent characterization. With increasing temperature and reducing strain rate, the quantity and size of it increased, and the morphology evolved from short-needles-shaped into elongated blocks. Due to β-Li phase can be activated more slip system and it can attenuate the accumulation of dislocations. Meanwhile, the high GND density of the α-Mg phase also predicts a higher strain energy and a greater recrystallisation drive force. The intensity of the {0001} basal texture of the α-Mg phase increased with increasing temperature, which is attributed to the selective growth of recrystallized grains. |
