Abstract Scope |
Gas burners are integral to industrial furnace operations, yet their efficiency often fluctuates between 20% to 60%. With global industrial burner gas consumption totaling approximately 200 billion Nm3 annually, corresponding to 200 million metric tons of CO2 emissions, addressing inefficiencies is critical. Novamet introduces SmartBurner, an online monitoring system designed to detect abnormalities and drifts in gas burners during operation. By integrating a rapid digital twin of the burner with artificial intelligence, SmartBurner enables real-time assessment of burner efficiency and detected drifts. The system provides user-friendly interfaces or daily printed reports to communicate abnormalities and drifts to operational and maintenance managers. With SmartBurner, facilities can potentially enhance burner efficiency by up to 10%, thereby reducing gas consumption, CO2 emissions, and productivity losses. This innovative tool empowers technicians, process engineers, and plant managers to optimize performance, improve sustainability, and achieve more efficient industrial operations. |
