Abstract Scope |
PbTe is an excellent and commercially available thermoelectric material in the medium temperature region. However, previous researches of n-type PbTe thermoelectric performances are inferior than p-type PbTe. To apply a thermoelectric device with excellent performance, it is particularly urgent to advancing n-type PbTe thermoelectric. This work tries to develop a n-type PbTe single leg with high conversion efficiency. To improve the efficiency, one approach is optimizing zT value of n-type PbTe. Doping Mn can tune the electrical property and reduce thermal conductivity. On the other hand, constructing a diffusion barrier is another way to enhance conversion efficiency of single leg. Due to the excellent mechanical, electrical properties and high thermal stability, MEA and HEA recently are considered as a suitable barrier material. The sluggish diffusion enables HEA and MEA to suppress the diffusion. Therefore, this work chose Ti(AlCrZrNbV) as a diffusion barrier on PbTe single leg. |
