Abstract Scope |
Mass spectrometry was used to study the evaporation of calcium oxide from the Knudsen molybdenum effusion cells in the temperature range 1812–2183 K. The partial pressures of vapor species over CaO were determined with an error not exceeding 10 %, which is confirmed by calculations of the gas phase equilibrium with the atomic oxygen participation. The effect of redox conditions on the calcium oxide evaporation was studied, which made it possible to correctly compare the thermodynamic data obtained by the mass spectrometric method using various materials of effusion cells. |
