Abstract Scope The demand for eco-efficient and durable cementitious materials and the need to increase productivity without waste and cost are being increasingly common targets for the construction sector. Thus, 3D-printing has gained space and notoriety in this sector, since it allows the production of components with geometric freedom, without the need for molds, increasing productivity, with lower labor and waste demands. The synergism between machine, material, and project is the key to the development of the technology and deserves great attention. Thinking about eco-efficient materials, the reduction of cement consumption is the main alternative. The objective of this work was to develop compositions with low-binder consumption based on the rheological evaluations obtained by different complementary methods. In the end, it was possible to correlate the characteristics observed in the field with the parameters obtained in the laboratory, creating a very precise methodology to control the aspects related to machine and material.
