Abstract Scope |
This presentation discusses preliminary experiments on the intrinsic effects of electric current and field during the self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) of Ni 3 Al-carbon nanotube (CNT) composites from elemental powders. Specifically, the effects of process variables such as current and electric field on the developed microstructure, combustion temperature, wave velocity and activation energy are discussed. |
